Day #245 – North Palm Beach, FL

♥ ♥ ♥ Happy Birthday to Devon ♥ ♥ ♥

This is a sad morning for us…Salvage Crew is pulling away from the docks.  Patti came down about 8:00 and said they were leaving in ten minutes to make the opening of the first bridge just around the corner.  Andy and I went down and helped them with their lines, and they were off.  We will miss their company and humor so much but we will all make a point to “hook up” when they get back on their boat.

Today began much like yesterday.  We still had the rental car and had to finish our errands before returning it.  We were on the road my 8:30 after Andy had located a transformer to replace the one that quit in the air conditioner.  We drove about 30 miles and picked it up. I dropped him back off at the boat and went to the Verizon store.  While I was there Andy called with good news and bad news.  The good news was that the one air conditioning unit was fixed.  The bad news was that we needed another transformer for the other unit.  I drove back down and picked up another and brought it back to him.  The I revisited West Marine, Publix and then Home Goods.  Ahh, to be back in the US.  I came back and picked him up and we drove to Soverel Harbour Marina.  Someone we met in West End had recommended it and we went to check it out.  They had one slip still available so we booked it and will move the boat there tomorrow.   The location is much better and walkable to stores, restaurants, etc.  We look forward to having our friends Ted and John and Karen join us this weekend at that should be a great location for us.

Many of the boats here in the marina are having work done.  Divers were here yesterday to replace two props on a boat nearby.  Andy couldn’t believe the size of the props and two guys go under water and replace them…youth!
